There are only two days left until the end of Winter, and we continue our countdown with the announcement of four new attractions (since I am behind and did not get one out for each the last three days like I was supposed to!)
First up - Skiing and Ice Skating! What would winter be without these classic outdoor sports. Great Niagara features a full-size real ice-skating pond that can be run year round. Lace up your skates and hit the ice!
Rather experience the thrill and speed of downhill skiing? Great Niagara has you covered there as well! Rent some gear and take the lift to the top of Blizzard Point, where you can then traverse one of three runs down the mountain - one for beginners, a second for intermediate, and the last for experts. Take in the amazing views of the park as you ski down the mountain and through the middle of the park. There is no other ski experience like it in the world!
Today's second announcement is another classic that the whole family can enjoy - the Winter Wheel! This Ferris Wheel sits at the foot of Allegheny Summit, and provides breathtaking views of the entire Winter Section
Does the Winter Wheel look too gentle for you? Don't worry - we have you covered. Our third announcement is a high-thrill ride that isn't for the feint of heart - the Ice Cube! This frozen flip-tacular provides an intense, G-Force heavy experience. Set alongside the ski slopes of Great Niagara's Winter Section, you'll have an amazing view - if you can keep your eyes straight!
With so much to see and do, how can someone make sure they catch it all? Well today's fourth and final announcement helps you do just that; introducing the Ski Village Sleigh Ride.
Winding it's way through - and below - Great Niagara's Winter section, the Ski Village Sleigh Ride provides a serene sightseeing experience for the whole family. You'll start next to the Ski Slopes, with views of the chairlift and Ice Cube filling your view. After making your way past the Winter Garden Restaurant, you'll come under the village and emerge with views of the Winter Wheel and Niagara Scenic Railway. After making your way through an ice cave and along the frozen creek, you'll see Himalaya in all it's spinning glory. This is not a ride to miss!
Phew. Well that's all for today. We have one more big announcement for tomorrow - the final day before Winter comes to an end on March 20th!
See you then!
